Atlantic light, a picture window the size of the sea, a veranda, and a pool that turns at dusk. Forty minutes from Lisbon.
Villa Tamar faces west from a cliff, so the light arrives across the water and stays warm until it goes. The main living room is built around one large window with the ocean centred in it. The second living room holds a 1907 upright piano and a long dining table. There is a beamed studio with a library, a stone fireplace, terracotta floors and original tilework.
Outside: an ocean-facing veranda, an infinity pool that reads best at dusk, a 500 m² garden, and the cliff itself, which a drone frames with the village and the Atlantic behind it.

Two living rooms, a king suite, a stone fireplace and the window that holds the sea. Warm, lived-in surfaces rather than a set: wood, tile, terracotta, brass.

A beamed room with a library and a long desk. Next to it, the dining table set before the restored 1907 upright. Both take low, directional light well.
